Vietnam Photojournalism as Data

Students use six Library of Congress Vietnam War photographs as nontraditional data, applying a 5×5 grid protocol to code quantifiable variables from each image, calculating a classification-error rate to check consistency, and analyzing patterns in CODAP across images spanning the antiwar movement (1967–1969) through the 1973 ceasefire.
